Front cover research

These are the front covers of the publications that initially inspired me to create my book. It's mostly the first three ones that I really liked and would want my work to be somewhat similar. I want my front cover to link to the rest of my big image, but not necessarily have the same content. But seeing as I extensively rinsed the subject matters for my big image it is quite hard to think of other ideas...
I want the use of colour to feature heavily, stuff like if something overlaps then the colour changes (like the headlights in my big image) because I think this worked really well for me and is my favourite part of the illustration.
