OUIL505 Research after session

I'm really excited about this project, so I just wanted to get stuck into it straight away. I'm really interested in product, as I've previously sold my own work online and I really enjoy it. So I thought I'd look into this area more.

I started with thinking where sells products that I personally like and work I would love to produce. I came up with Colours May Vary, Paperchase, Village Bookstore and Etsy. I had a look at all of the online stores for these places and collectively found that stationary seemed to be the most popular, being sold up to £20 and colour schemes and pattern design being the most successful element. Cards are another thing that I found to be popular over the range, but don't sell for as much.

This research has shown me that I should focus on stationary or at least have this as one of my key products that I make. Next I need to look at what goes with stationary? As I need to remember that I have to apply my illustrations to as many things as possible!!
