Responsive Collaborative - Materials Research

Before our next meet up, I decided to check out some materials that could be possible to use. We decided in the last session that we're going to have to use plastic, as any other material would just get soggy and be impractical. But it needs to be environmentally friendly! So I went on the internet to see what I could find..

I found that there are plastics made from plants (PSM and sugar bagasse) which are also heat resistant which is perfect for what we are looking for as we need a material that you can put straight into the oven! Although it said that they didn't have much or any info on the carbon emissions that it creates as they are already a waste product, these materials are already far more environmental as they naturally decompose. I also sources this information from London biopackaging, so it seems pretty legitimate and can be trusted.
